Dermal Fillers
A dermal filler, sometimes also know as a soft tissue filler, are predominantly hyaluronic acid based gels that can be used to enhance, correct and restore areas of concern such as smoothing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles or adding volume to areas such as the cheeks or lips.
As we age, our skins natural hyaluronic acid content decreases. This is important for hydration and water retention, thus resulting in dried and more lax looking skin. Dermal filler will replenish our bodies natural collagen reserves thus encouraging natural production over time resulting in more hydrated and youthful looking skin.
Lip augmentation
Dermal filler can be used to enhance natural shape, volume and structure of your lips while correcting imbalances or asymmetries to produce the desired result.
Cheekbone augmentation
The cheeks are an area which tend to experience volume loss with age resulting in an “inverted V” shape to the face. Filler is strategically placed to help restore volume and re-create the “V” shape, add colour and definition whilst lifting the facial tissues, resulting in a mild face lifting affect and a more youthful looking appearance. How long does it last?
Over time the filler is naturally degraded by the body. This process happens more rapidly after the first treatment (4-6months), however with repeated treatments results can last over a year. This is not an exact science and will vary between individuals depending on their body’s natural metabolism.
